Matthew 9:1-8 Stephen Covey is famous for reminding us that “the main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.” Jesus made Covey’s point a couple of thousand years earlier when He healed a paralyzed man brought before to Him. As Jesus pronounced the man forgiven of his sins, the Pharisees grumbled about blasphemy. Jesus responded by reinforcing the main thing for all of us to remember. Salvation through Christ is the main thing.
