According to the gospel of John, Jesus' last act prior to the arrest that lead to his crucifixion was to pray for those that would believe the 'good news' through the disciples' proclamation--that's you and me. He prayed that we would experience unity and joy, that we would witness his glory in this life and throughout eternity, and finally that the same love that God the Father had for Jesus the Son would be ours. Imagine the kind of life you might lead if you received God's mighty 'yes' in answer to Jesus' prayer.
