When Jesus was insulted, reviled, betrayed, etc, he did two things. First, He didn't try to get even; He didn't react in hate, but responded in love. Secondly, Jesus didn't pass judgement on the individual; Jesus turned the situation over to God Who is the righteous Judge. We are to allow God to be our Avenger.
