This message is the second in a series of Lenten messages in which we listen to the animals appearing in scripture to give us a clue into the character and nature Jesus Christ. On Ash Wednesday we considered the "Fox." Jesus said "...foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the son of man has no place to lay his head." (Technical difficulties resulted in no recording of that message). In this second message, Pastor Burrell reminds us that the Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem on the foal of an ass, is a foreshadowing of the nature of Christ's power; not the power of the the sword, but the power of God's mercy, grace and forgiveness.
