When Jesus died on the cross, he delivered a crushing deathblow to the head of Satan. Heel wounds may be painful, they may cause us to limp, but heel wounds don\'t kill. But no one survives when their head is crushed. The cross may have bruised Jesus, but the empty tomb, the resurrection, was the final deathblow to the evil one. Jesus gives ultimate victory over life, over the struggles and pains of life. He is our promised hope - Jesus ultimately gives victory of eternal life even over the pain and reality of death.
