Gambling is a word that stirs different emotions in different people. For some, there is a rush that comes with just putting your money on the table. However, the level of an individual's financial investment is typically a key pre-determiner as to just how long that person is willing to play the game. Some people gamble with a 'Play-it-safe' mentality. Others, in their attempt to win it big, will often 'bluff' their way through hands that should be thrown away. But then there are those hands that cause even the safest player to go 'all-in!' God has dealt us all a hand just like that. He has given each of us the opportunity to get involved in areas of service to Him and others that will bring real life-change. We can continue to make small bets on the fact that God's plan is best, or we can go all in! Key Scriptures: Acts 1:21-26 & Matthew 28:16-20. A Personal Look: In life, do you find that you more likely place safe bets or to go 'all in?' Do you believe that there are things that God has created you to do, and yet not doing? If there were an opportunity for you to go 'all in' in serving God and others would you consider it? If not, why not? What part would fear and/or doubt play in your decision to not go 'all-in?' Would taking the gamble of pursuing why you were created be worth the risk of going 'all-in?' Additional Scriptures: Psalms 37:3, Proverbs 3:5-6, Ephesians 2:10, & Matthew 20:28
