Expect not only to read God's Word, but more importantly, but to have God’s Word read you. Let not our hearts shy away from the light of it, but truly come into the transforming light of it as we see ourselves in Jonah. The good news in the story of Jonah is the same good news in the story of Paul's conversion: the infinite lengths God goes to save those who want nothing to do with Him in their words, actions, and desires.
