In Christ, we can proclaim victory! Baptism symbolizes this. When we go down into the water, “death is swallowed up.” And we come out victorious. “…a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come” (2 Cor. 5:17). Baptism symbolizes death being swallowed up in victory through the power of the resurrection.
