The story of Christ’s bodily resurrection is told in Acts 1. It is the promise to each of us that there is a bodily resurrection. As Jesus was speaking with his disciples, He was taken from their very sight. They stood and gazed into the sky until two angels appeared and spoke to them. The angels said, “you are looking in the wrong direction. And the way that Jesus has been taken into heaven He will return. You will not miss it. You do not need to continue to gaze into the sky.” In essence, it is not the time to look in another direction. I believe many of us are looking in the wrong direction.
