Today's Gospel speaks about a parable and a woman where cancelling debts shows love and stirs appreciation. How these people accrued their debts depends on their circumstances (not much different from today)--either they did not have the means to care for families or have been isolated from the community by her lifestyle. We judge people by their circumstances. Yet Jesus forgives her debts, her circumstances, and the woman is over filled with gratitude.
