After leaving Athens frustrated and disappointed, Paul arrived in the city of Corinth. Corinth was a very prosperous city with two sea ports. But Corinth was also a licentious and wicked city. Its temple to Venus alone housed a thousand courtesans. Time would tell that it was a city filled with aching, empty hearts ripe for the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
