In spite of the all the warnings and all the past persecutions, Paul can not escape from his calling to go to Jerusalem and testify about the Lord Jesus Christ. While in prison one night he has a vision of Jesus, who speaks to him and says "Take Courage." Frequently God does not tell us to run away from challenges and troubles, but rather to take courage and face them.
