On this Pentecost Sunday we complete our series on the Holy Spirit by thinking about the Pentecost events in the light of the Jewish festivals of Passover, the Counting of the Omer, and Shavuot. We come to see the events of Pentecost in their place within the narrative framework and as an integral part of the story, looking back as far as the early Genesis accounts.
