I. The Warrior's Commission A. 2 Timothy 2:3-4 B. To be saved is to enlist in God's army and enter into an ancient war for righteousness. This war includes our internal struggle with sin as well as external struggles with Satan and the world system. This war will continue until the Lord's return and final victory over Satan and his followers is won. II. The Warrior's Character A. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 B. A warrior lives by faith clinging tightly to every doctrine and promise of God. He keeps his conscience clear by righteous livng and vigilance over his internal life. If there is compromise in either of these areas, the warrior is in danger of destroying his faith and being "dishonorably discharged" from the church's watch care and fellowship and God's blessing and protection.
